You're one of a small group helping shape Ravens of Odin before it opens to the public.
This page walks you through the product and shows you where your feedback matters most.
There's no wrong way to test. Use it however feels natural — the parts where you get
stuck or confused are exactly what we want to hear about. Even a single
sentence like "I couldn't figure out how to add a cover image" is enormously valuable.
Below is a suggested journey through the product. Each section has a few things to try
and specific questions. You don't have to do all of them — go as far as
feels fun, and skip anything that doesn't apply. When you're ready, email your feedback
using the link at the bottom.
01
First impressions
Before you sign up, spend a minute on the public website at
ravensofodin.com.
Try this
Read the home page. Browse the "Who it's for" section. Look at the pricing page.
1.1 After reading the home page, can you explain in one sentence what Ravens of Odin is?
1.2 Did anything on the site confuse you or feel unclear?
1.3 Does the pricing feel fair for what's offered? Anything missing or surprising?
1.4 How does it compare to other platforms you've used for sharing your work (Instagram, Squarespace, Flickr, a personal blog, etc.)?
02
Signing up
Create an account at rvns.app.
You can use GitHub, Google, or email + password.
Try this
Sign up, check your confirmation email, set your display name in Account settings.
2.1 How was the signup process? Did anything feel broken or unprofessional?
2.2 Did the confirmation email arrive promptly? Did it look trustworthy?
2.3 Were you able to find and update your display name?
03
Upgrading to a paid plan
Your account starts on the free Wanderer plan (follow & discover only). To create
a site and publish stories, you'll need to upgrade.
Try this
Go to Account → see the plan cards → click Subscribe on one of the paid plans. Complete the Stripe checkout. (You can cancel immediately after if you'd like — we won't be offended.)
3.1 Was the upgrade path from free to paid obvious? Did you know where to go?
3.2 How did the Stripe checkout feel? Smooth, or did anything feel off?
3.3 After subscribing, could you immediately create a site? Or was there a confusing delay?
Note: If you received a beta invite with a promo code, apply it during checkout. If not, just pick any plan — we'll sort out billing later. The goal here is to test the flow, not charge you.
04
Creating your first site
Once subscribed, create a site from the Dashboard.
Try this
Click "New site", pick a name and subdomain. Visit your live site at yourname.rvns.app.
4.1 Was creating a site straightforward?
4.2 Did you find and visit your live site? How did it look (even though it's mostly empty)?
4.3 If you tried connecting a custom domain (optional), how did that go?
05
Creating stories
This is the heart of the product. Try creating at least one visual story (our main format)
and optionally an article or gallery.
Try this
Create a new page → pick "Visual Story". Upload some photos (drag and drop works).
Try the three tabs: Media & Info, Organize, and Design. Add a title, a cover image,
some text blocks. Preview it. Publish it. Visit the published URL.
5.1 Intuitiveness: on a scale of 1–5, how easy was it to create and publish a story?
12345
5.2 Were the three editor tabs (Media & Info, Organize, Design) clear in what they do? Or was it confusing which tab to use?
5.3 Did drag-and-drop uploading work? Were there any issues with specific file types or sizes?
5.4 Did you try any of the block types: Scene, Ken Burns, Slideshow, Grid, Hero? Which ones did you find useful, and which felt confusing?
5.5 How did the published story look on your site? Anything visually off?
5.6 Did you try creating an Article (markdown) or Gallery page? If so, how was the experience?
Bonus: If you're a photographer, check whether your camera info appeared automatically
(look for the "Show camera info" toggle in the Design tab when you select an image block).
06
Discovery & social features
Ravens of Odin has a Discover feed, a map view, follow/save, comments, per-image
reactions, and story responses. Try them out on other testers' published stories.
Try this
Go to Discover (in the sidebar). Browse stories. Try the Map tab. Open a story and
try the social pill at the bottom (comment, save, follow). React to individual
images with ♥ or ✨. If another tester has published a story, try replying with one
of your own stories.
6.1 Did you find the Discover feed? Was it obvious how to get there?
6.2 Did the Map view work? Could you see stories pinned to locations?
6.3 Did the social pill on published stories (comment / save / follow) make sense? Was the sign-in popup smooth?
6.4 Did per-image reactions (♥ ✨) feel natural? Did you know they were there?
6.5 Did you receive any notifications in the bell icon? Were they useful?
07
Mobile app (optional)
If you've been invited to the mobile app beta (iOS / Android via TestFlight or Expo),
